Terms and Conditions

These terms explain how Ljuggage works as a luggage storage marketplace and what travelers, partners, and platform operators can expect from the service.

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of Ljuggage’s website and booking services. By creating an account, browsing partner locations, or placing a booking, you agree to these terms.

Ljuggage is built for travelers who want short-term luggage storage with vetted local partners in Ljubljana and any future launch cities we may add.

2. Service description

Ljuggage operates a marketplace that helps travelers book temporary luggage storage at independent partner businesses.

Availability, opening hours, pricing, and operational capacity are provided through the platform, but the physical storage service is delivered at the partner location itself.

3. Role of Ljuggage

Ljuggage facilitates discovery, booking, payment routing, partner operations tooling, and customer support coordination. We do not personally take custody of luggage unless we are also the partner operating the selected location.

Partner businesses remain responsible for the on-site handling of accepted luggage, check-in and pick-up verification, and compliance with local operational obligations.

4. User responsibilities

Users must provide accurate account information, present correct booking details when dropping off or collecting luggage, and ensure that the luggage belongs to them or that they are authorized to store it.

Users are responsible for arriving within the relevant partner opening hours and complying with on-site instructions from the partner staff.

5. Prohibited items

You must not store illegal, dangerous, explosive, flammable, perishable, fragile, live, highly valuable, or otherwise prohibited items through Ljuggage.

This includes weapons, narcotics, hazardous chemicals, cash, jewelry, passports stored loose outside luggage, and any item that could harm people, property, or the partner location.

6. Bookings and payments

Bookings are priced per day and per bag size. Users pay in advance through Stripe-powered checkout flows integrated into the platform.

A booking is not treated as confirmed until payment has been successfully processed and the platform updates the booking state accordingly.

7. Cancellations, refunds, late pickup, and abandoned luggage

Refund eligibility depends on the applicable booking and refund policy at the time of the booking, as well as any operational incident review that may apply.

Late pickup can lead to additional charges. Luggage that remains uncollected after the applicable thresholds may enter an overdue or abandoned review workflow and may require manual resolution before release.

8. Partner responsibilities

Partners must keep operating hours, pricing, and capacity information reasonably accurate. They must only accept luggage they can safely store and must follow Ljuggage’s operational and support procedures.

Partners are responsible for verifying bookings during check-in and release during pickup in accordance with the platform workflow.

9. Liability and limitations

Ljuggage does not promise that the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We do not advertise insurance as part of the current v1 product offering.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Ljuggage’s liability is limited to direct losses reasonably linked to our own breach of these terms, and excludes indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Account suspension

We may suspend or restrict access where necessary to protect the platform, partners, or other users, including cases of fraud, abuse, policy evasion, unsafe conduct, or unpaid operational charges.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material updates will be published on this page with an updated revision date, and continued use of the service after the change will mean the updated terms apply.
